Guilt Trip is a Puerto Rican music producer from Spanish Harlem, raised in the Washington Projects on the Eastside. Initially starting his career as a DJ, he viewed it as a hobby until he began writing lyrics to the instrumentals he was blending. Under the alias "Guilty," he started crafting complete songs and formed a rap duo with his partner Naquan, known as ONTR (On The Real). The duo performed at various venues during the late 90s, and recorded over 30 songs, although none were released. The collaboration ended when Naquan was incarcerated, marking a temporary hiatus for Guilt Trip, who was also incarcerated in 2008. In 2019, he emerged from prison ready to redefine his artistry and continue his journey in music.
